Privacy Policy

Who is responsible

SOMA is being built in India by its founder, Saurav Singhal, who decides how and why personal data from this website is used. Questions about this processing can be sent to contact@joinsoma.in.

What we collect

If you join the waitlist, we store:

• your email address
• that you gave consent, when you gave it, and which version of this policy you agreed to
• that you signed up through this website

To protect the form from spam and abuse, each attempt to join also creates a short-lived record of when it happened and a keyed one-way hash of the IP address it came from. The IP address itself is not stored.

We do not ask for your name, phone number or any health information on this website.

Why we use it

• to email you about SOMA's early access and the app's release
• to keep a record of your consent
• to limit repeated or automated attempts to use the form

We rely on the consent you give when you tick the box on the form. We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or combine it with any health data.

Where it is processed and who receives it

Waitlist data is stored in a database provided by Supabase, located in Mumbai, India (Supabase region ap-south-1). Supabase processes it on our behalf.

The website is hosted by Hostinger. Like any web host, Hostinger may process technical information such as IP addresses in standard server logs when it serves these pages.

We have not chosen an email service yet. If we use one to send early-access emails, we will name it in this policy before using it.

We do not share your data with anyone else unless the law requires us to.

How long we keep it

We keep your waitlist details until early access opens and for up to 12 months after that, or until you ask us to remove them, whichever comes first.

Hashed IP records are deleted automatically after about a day.

Your choices

You can ask us to:

• tell you what personal data we hold about you from this waitlist
• correct or update it
• erase it and remove you from the waitlist
• stop using it by withdrawing your consent

To make a request, email contact@joinsoma.in from the address you signed up with. We may ask you to confirm the request from that address before acting on it. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it: one email from that address.

If you are not satisfied with our response, email contact@joinsoma.in again.

Age

The waitlist is only for people aged 18 or over. If you are under 18, please do not sign up. If we learn that someone under 18 has joined, we will delete their details.

Cookies and tracking

This website does not use cookies, analytics, advertising trackers or third-party embeds. Its fonts and images are served from the same host as the pages.

How we protect it

The waitlist form sends your details to a server-side function, which validates them before storing them. The database tables cannot be read or written by the website's public code; only that function, using a private server key that never reaches your browser, can add to them. IP addresses are stored only as keyed hashes.

No method of sending or storing data is completely secure, but we limit what we collect and who can access it.

The SOMA app

This policy covers the website and its waitlist only. It is not the privacy policy for the SOMA app. The app, once released, may handle health and nutrition information you choose to log. It will have its own privacy policy, which you will be able to read in the app and from its store listing before using it.

Joining the waitlist does not create an app account and does not send anything to the app.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change affects how we use your waitlist data, we will ask for your consent again before applying it to you.
